areas of expertise
  • Project management
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Transport research
  • Corporate responsibility

Transform Consulting is managed by Elspeth Wray, an experienced Project Manager and Sustainability Consultant with 20 years’ experience in the sector.

Elspeth has managed multiple high-profile research and communications projects for clients including Avanti West Coast, WWF, ScotRail, Sustrans, the University of Edinburgh, Ministry of Defence, Transport for London, NHS Trusts and numerous local authorities. She combines strong skills in research and stakeholder engagement with an in-depth understanding of why sustainability is so important to clients and their stakeholders. She has an excellent working knowledge of travel and transport issues in Scotland, having worked with most of the country’s major transport organisations. An experienced manager, few things make her happier than a good spreadsheet or nicely planned budget!

Elspeth joined Transform from the UK Design Council, where she helped clients design sustainable buildings and places, established a major new community planning grants programme, and led business development activities to transform this former quango into an enterprising charity with diverse income streams. She previously worked as an Environmental Consultant in the private sector, advising clients on stakeholder relations and corporate responsibility. She also spent a year working for the US National Parks Service and started her career as a botanist at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. Whilst she still loves plants and national parks, she’s now thinks transport is the best place to work.
